Strong Sales Pace Continues Through Summer

According to Brian Wood, Forest’s exclusive Sotheby’s Agent, there is continued strong interest from potential buyers and lots of construction activity in the works by lot owners.

“The Sarasota market east of I-75 has been very active so far this year, and particularly through the spring and summer at The Forest,” said Wood. “We have been fortunate that there is a good mix of home sites still remaining in the original developer inventory, and buyers like the fact they also have a variety of great custom builders to choose from in The Forest.”

The number of custom home neighborhoods in Sarasota with a selection of multiple builders has dwindled in the last few years, according to Wood. He said most communities now have either national or large regional building companies that control all the lots and construction in Sarasota.

“Our list is very impressive with six great local custom builders,” Wood continued. “Property owners at The Forest enjoy the luxury of time to build and option to choose any of the preferred builders, so it’s very flexible and buyer friendly.”
