Lake Wood Park at The Forest Hi Hat Ranch
Former Sales Center Site Becomes Passive Park
Since opening the community, Lake Wood at The Forest Hi Hat Ranch has been the site of the developer’s sales center. Now that all of the original lots have been sold to private owners, this site is being converted for resident use.
“Our intent from the beginning of our master plan was for this beautiful lakefront property to be dedicated for use by all residents at The Forest,” say managing development partner Tom Dabney. “Now that we have sold all the developer owned lots this site is being converted to a passive park and will add to the enjoyment of life in the community.”
Dabney says plans are being made to remove the former sales trailer from the site with minimal disruption to the landscaping and natural foliage. A large crane is being contracted to lift the trailer so it can be safely moved off the property. The parking lot will remain to allow residents in the community easy access.
“The view of Lake Wood is wonderful and the heavily treed site always attracts a wide variety of birds and other wildlife,” says Dabney. “It’s just a great place to enjoy the natural setting that makes The Forest such a wonderful community to call home.”
Work is scheduled to be completed in early April. Watch for more information here on the blog and contact us to schedule a tour of the community and available lots ready for custom estate homes.
